Light Infantry confirming his promise

ON only his fourth racecourse visit Light Infantry further confirmed his potential, placing second in the seven furlong Group 1 Prix Jean Prat at Deauville this afternoon, under Jamie Spencer.
Against more experienced horses, he was professional throughout and fully deserving of his second place. The three-year-old colt was towards the rear of the field and in behind the market favourite. He was then ridden over two furlongs out and ran on past quality opposition to take second place inside the final fifty yards.
