Feature win for Smart Champion

SMART CHAMPION scored his third career success when winning the two mile feature handicap at Beverley this afternoon, under Connor Beasley.
He was sat towards the rear of the field until pushed along three furlongs out, made steady headway from two furlongs out and was ridden to challenge inside the final furlong, taking the lead and keeping on strongly to win by a neck. By Teofilo IRE out of Soryah IRE, Smart Champion is now a seven-year-old gelding and trained by David Simcock for John Cook and Partner.
