Win for Lunar Bird

LUNAR BIRD scored her first career success on only her second racecourse visit, taking the one mile and two furlongs Novice Stakes at Ripon this afternoon under Joe Fanning.
The three-year-old filly was settled in rear until making headway over two furlongs out. Having progressed into second she then ran on to lead inside the final half furlong and win comfortably by one and a quarter lengths.By Cracksman GB out of Singyoursong IRE, Lunar Bird is trained by David Simcock for Mohammed Jaber.
