Rosa Chinensis 'off the mark'

IT was particularly pleasing to see this half-sister to former stable star Madame Chiang, Rosa Chinensis, get off the mark by winning the one mile and two furlongs Fillies' Handicap at Chelmsford City this evening, under Callum Shepherd.
Having been ridden prominently, the three-year-old-filly was switched right and pressed the leaders over one furlong out, was ridden to lead inside the final half furlong and kept on to win by a neck.By Oasis Dream GB out of Robe Chinoise GB, Rosa Chinensis is trained by David Simcock for Miss K Rausing.
