STRIVE got off the mark on his third racecourse visit, when taking the one mile maiden stakes at Newcastle this evening under Hayley Turner.
The three-year-old gelding went to the front and made all, was edged right at half way, came under a challenge and was ridden over one furlong out and stayed on well to win by a head.By Exceed And Excel AUS out of Ghany IRE, Strive is owned and trained by David Simcock.
