MOUNTAIN ROAD scored his third career win, his first win on turf, when securing the one mile and six furlongs handicap at Newmarket July Course this afternoon under Silvestre De Sousa.
The five-year-old gelding made all, gradually increasing the pace from over three furlongs out, was ridden and went further clear inside the final furlong to win by four lengths.By Churchill IRE out of La Corniche FR, Mountain Road is trained by David Simcock for The Future.
